Multi-functional inkjet printing with the
Alpha label dispenser
There are many label dispensers on the market with the integrated
option of post-printinglabel data, e.g. additional information such
as shelf life, batch and loadinfo, ingredients, barcodes and logos.
But the conventional printing techniques availablefor this purpose
are generallydesignedto be used exclusively in conjunction with
alabelingunit.
This is where the Markoprint Thermo-Inkjet printer, with its new
Alpha TIJ labeling solution, differs: this printer can be removed
in a few operations and easily and conveniently installed at different packaging plants, such as blister machines, cartoners, tray
packers, pillow bag machines, conveyors or similar units in the
final packaging area. Depending on equipment application, this
translates to significantly reduced investment costs and creates
multifunctionality. The Markoprint inkjet printer can of course also
be integrated into almost any other label dispenser – even other
brands – provided the technical prerequisites in terms of installation space are met.
The Alpha TIJ comprises a label dispenser of the proven and renowned BluhmWeber Group Alpha series and a Markoprint X4 thermal
inkjet printer. With the Alpha TIJ variable information is printed
without physical contactonto possiblypre-printed labels immediately before dispensing. No labels are wasted/lost whenprint data
changes and previous data areautomatically excluded when the
product changes. Using the cartridge ink technology, labels with
up to 50 mm high symbols and a resolution of up to 600 dpi can be

printed neatly and quickly. Data transmission to the print heads is
1:1. Real time printing without batch processing is also possible.
A wide variety of quick drying inks and colors is available for a wide
range of applications on diverse label surfaces.
